Marketing Analyst

Zozimus is looking for a Marketing Analyst to join our Performance Marketing team. Reporting to the VP, Paid Media & Analytics this position will work closely with performance teams to ensure data capture, analytics, and reporting meet best practices and are consistently used to inform marketing strategies and tactics.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with clients and internal stakeholders to identify what data to capture, execute and maintain data, analytics, and reporting, and provide requested and proactive analysis to inform strategies and tactics.


Analytics & Data Management

  • Derive, track, report on key performance indicators across a number of client accounts
  • Identify why accounts are, or are not hitting their goals to further optimize accounts
  • Own the data feeds across multiple accounts and platforms
  • Implementation and management of Google Tag Manager including Implementing tags and pixels, maintaining clean and accurate containers, familiarity with CSS/JavaScript in the context of GTM, able to implement custom events, triggers, etc.
  • Implementation and management of Google Analytics including, GA4 transition, dashboard/card/report creation, cross-domain setup, GA auditing/troubleshooting/fixes
  • CRM integration with GA/ad platforms such as offline conversion tracking including form integration such as GCLID capture, hidden fields, passing UTMs to CRM
  • Quality assurance of data throughput throughout the life of a campaign, including ongoing tracking, maintenance and work with internal/external teams as needed
  • Supporting the overall Analytics vision for the agency, including ongoing refinement of processes, tools, and templates

Reporting & Analysis

  • Build and populate reports including in GA4, Google Slides/PowerPoint, Google Sheets/Excel, and Google Data Studio
  • Analyze data sets to answer questions and proactively uncover opportunities in the context of tactical and strategic goals
  • Consult clients on analytics best practices and help them understand how to interpret data
  • Aggregation of data from various sources (including but not limited to: site analytics, third party ad servers, social listening platforms, call center data, CRM, etc.) into integrated report templates or dashboards
  • Ability to clean and analyze medium to large data sets, aggregate data across multiple sources
  • Advanced in Excel/spreadsheets
  • Data review and analysis, as well as presentation of findings to internal teams and/or clients
  • Serving as the subject matter expert for reporting/visualization platforms from both data aggregation and data visualization standpoints
  • Develop dashboards and ad hoc reports for both client reporting and internal use
  • Read out on A/B test result
  • Database/SQL experience not required but a plus
  • Python, R, or similar languages not required but a plus


  • A passion for digital analytics and a desire to continue to learn is a must
  • Knowledge of statistics, statistical analysis, and analytical platforms and software
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Data Studio, Tableau, etc)
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skillset
