When my business partners (Nick Lowe and Tom Lee) and I founded this agency over 16 years ago, we set out to do something different. We wanted to create an agency that put clients and their challenges first.
We understood that you can’t jam a prescriptive service down someone’s throat just because it fits your agenda. Instead, we made the decision to work together, alongside our clients to discover and define the best solution to address their individual needs. The results of a campaign never lie.
To achieve this though, you really must build an amazing bench of talent. This includes your core team (in-house) as well as your partners. You need to be able to move quickly, and swap in and out on a dime. This is how you win in today’s ultra-competitive environment. As such, we spend a considerable amount of time recruiting people from some of the largest and most respected agencies in the world. It’s a ton of work.
Funny thing is they all come to us for the same reason – the opportunity to create and execute their best work. The work they will actually be known for. Sounds simple, but when you add in the layers of bureaucracy and overinflated account teams, it’s not a simple as it sounds. The truth is some of the best ideas or campaigns never even get shown to the client. We have always viewed this as a travesty. Our promise to our clients and to our team is that our agency will never be that kind of place. You have our word.
